When Beneficiary Designations Go Wrong: Probate vs. Non-Probate Assets
Heather is Vice President and Trust Officer II based in the Central New York market and is responsible for the administration of trusts. Prior to joining Tompkins Financial Advisors, Heather worked as a Fiduciary Strategist for five-and-half years at Key Private Bank and as a Paralegal for 17 years at the Sugarman Law Firm, LLP.
Heather is the immediate past president of the Board of Directors for the Estate Planning Council of Central New York and is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Tompkins County.
Heather holds a BA in Paralegal Studies from Johnson & Wales University and was awarded the Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) designation through the ABA. She resides in the Syracuse, New York area with her husband and daughter.
