Exit Strategies in Investment Real Estate – Taxes, 1031s, and DSTs (Delaware Statutory Trusts)

Jack Little will give an overview of the requirements of a tax deferred exchange and the opportunities for estate planning for our clients who hold appreciated real estate in New York State.
Jack is a Professor of Practice- Emeritus from the SC Johnson College of Business at Cornell University, teaching and practicing in Tompkins County for nearly 50 years. He was formerly a partner in the firm of Ciaschi, Dietershagen, Little & Mickelson, now Insero.
He is a certified public accountant, and formerly a Certified Fraud Examiner and NYS Licensed Private Investigator, discontinuing his forensic accounting practice in 2023.
Today his practice today focuses exclusively on serving as qualified intermediary for tax deferred exchanges under section 1031 of the Internal Revenue Code.
